MIXING + RECORDING
A native of Iowa, Welander moved to Los Angeles after graduating from The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences and immediately began working at Sound Factory and Sunset Sound. At these studios Welander engineered and mixed for legends Jimmy Cliff, John Legend, Rancid, Backstreet Boys, and more.
In addition to major label and motion picture work, Clint's finger is on the pulse of the indie scene, helping bands Mini Mansions, Fools Gold, Low Hum, and Happy Hollows develop their sound.
Welander's mastery of digital and analog systems combined with years of experience make him a sought after engineer and mixer. His particular passion and adeptness for analog has inspired him to record and mix directly to tape on innumerable sessions. Clint's vast knowledge of recording and mixing continues to lead him to studio sessions all around the world.
